MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE TO DATE
After completing my first Half Marathon last year I want to test myself and push my limits by taking on my first Marathon. I have chosen the Disabilities Trust because of the amazing work they do around the country and would like to help raise money and awareness for the charity. My nephew suffers from Cerebral Palsy and has been helped by various charities around the Birmingham area meaning the Disabilities Trust is close to the heart.
I would really like to raise £2,000+ for the Disabilities Trust and would be extremely grateful for any support and donations. I am planning on doing a large part of my training at TRIB3 with 4-5 weekly sessions and long runs at the weekend.
I have a tough job ahead, aiming to lean up and lose around 10kg (1 and 1/2 stone) to help me get my large body around the 26+ mile course
I will be increasing my base fitness level throughout January and February, and building up the mileage with a goal of sub 4 hours on the big day.
I am confident I can raise awareness for the Disabilities Trust and will be writing about my struggles and triumphs in the lead up to the event.
Having never run more than 5 miles on the road 10 months ago, I have already come a long way. A little nervous but determined to conquer my biggest challenge to date!
I would like to give a big thanks to everyone who has kindly donated and supported me so far!
See you in the club or on the road
Any help and support in reaching my goal would be greatly appreciated.
